Parking
Because there are a limited number of parking spaces available in the ITS Manning lot, parking should be arranged prior to visits. If an ITS Manning parking space is not available, visitors can park in theUNC Hospitals Dogwood Parking Deck, located across Manning Drive from UNC Hospitals, for $1/hour.

Directions

ITS Manning is located at 211 Manning Drive, next to UNC Hospitals. Business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Minimal visitor parking is available in the ITS Manning parking lot, with additional parking available in the UNC Hospitals visitor parking deck.

From campus:
Walk south down Columbia Street and turn left on Manning Drive. Continue past UNC Hospitals, and ITS Manning will be on your left at the corner of Manning and Hibbard drives.

From Raleigh:
Take I-40 W to Exit 273A (NC-54W toward Chapel Hill). Continue for about 3 miles, then merge onto US-15 S / US-501 S / N Fordham Boulevard toward Carrboro / Pittsboro. After about a mile, turn right onto Manning Drive. Proceed about 0.8 miles. ITS Manning will be on your right (for reference, the Craige parking deck will be on your left).

From Durham:
Take US-15 S / US-501 S / Durham Chapel Hill Boulevard toward Chapel Hill. Turn right onto Manning Drive and proceed about 0.8 miles. ITS Manning will be on your right (for reference, the Craige parking deck will be on your left).

From Greensboro:
Take I-40 E toward Burlington/Durham. After about 46 miles, take Exit 270 (US-15 / US-501) toward Chapel Hill/Durham. Turn right onto US-15 S / US-501 S / Durham Chapel Hill Boulevard. Proceed about 4.5 miles, then turn right onto Manning Drive. Proceed about 0.8 miles. ITS Manning will be on your right (for reference, the Craige parking deck will be on your left).

Deliveries are accepted only at the back entrance service desk (located on the second floor of the building). There is a doorbell in the loading dock area for delivery personnel.

Deliveries are accepted between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., but are not accepted between noon and 1 p.m. After work hours, delivery personnel should call 919.962.6503.

About ITS Manning
Located on a site where the University’s North Campus, South Campus and Health Affairs meet, ITS Manning provides a central location for campus IT support professionals. The building supports ITS administrative functions, Information Security, the ITS Control Center and data center, ERP staff, RENCI, campus research computing and the CIO office. The building hosts an 11,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art machine room that supports critical campus operations.

ITS Manning provides office space for approximately 220 staff, offering ITS 131 workstations, 58 managers’ offices, a CIO administrative suite, eight conference rooms and four break rooms. The innovative, dynamic work space has been designed to promote collaboration and leadership among ITS staff, the UNC-Chapel Hill campus and leading technology researchers.

Directions
Directions to ITS Franklin are listed below. Bus stops for the F and J Chapel Hill Transit routes are located directly in front of the building. Bus service is free.

ITS Franklin is located at 440 West Franklin Street in downtown Chapel Hill. Business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitor parking is available on the Rosemary Street side of the building or in metered on-street spaces.

From campus:
Walk west down Franklin Street toward Carrboro. Continue past the Mediterranean Deli, and ITS Franklin will be on your right.

From Raleigh:
Take I-40 W to Exit 273A (NC-54W toward Chapel Hill). Continue for about 3 miles, then stay straight to continue onto Raleigh Road (NC-54 W). It will eventually become South Road. When you come to Columbia Street, turn right. Proceed 2 blocks. Turn left onto Franklin Street and proceed about 4 blocks. ITS Franklin will be on your right.

From Durham:
Take US-15 S / US-501 S / Durham Chapel Hill Boulevard toward Chapel Hill. Take the ramp toward UNC-Chapel Hill. After you pass Europa Drive, begin to watch for the Franklin Street exit. Exit to the right onto East Franklin Street. Proceed for about 3 miles. ITS Franklin will be on your right.

From Greensboro:
Take I-40 E toward Burlington/Durham. After about 42 miles, take Exit 266 (NC-86) toward Chapel Hill. Keep right at the fork to get on NC-86. It will become Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (Historic Airport Road) and will eventually become Columbia Street. When you get to downtown Chapel Hill, turn right onto Franklin Street and proceed about 4 blocks. ITS Franklin will be on your right.

Large-scale items should be delivered to the loading dock at the back of the building between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Please buzz the intercom to speak to an ITS representative for assistance.

Building Information
Renovated in 2005, ITS Franklin was the first Information Technology Services building to be completed as a part of its new facilities initiative. The building features an innovative workspace designed to encourage creativity and cooperation among 200 of the department’s employees, offering 170 workstations, 30 managers’ offices, 16 conference rooms and three break rooms. Its state-of-the-art machine room comprises nearly 5,000 square feet. To the east of the building, the University provides the public with a park connecting Franklin and Rosemary streets during office hours.
